Republican “Governor” Sarah Palin awaits criminal charges as her “political career” (a version of stand-up comedy) ends in humilitation and a rambling, incoherent speech about basketball.
- Palin Resignation Story . . . – Alaskan Sarah Palin authority . . . . Shannyn Moore, who broke the news at HuffPo today, tells me she believes, with good reason, that there is an “iceberg scandal that’s about to break. She’s doing damage control.” What fun! What is it with these Republican governors anyway? Maybe Sarah has a “soul mate” in Russia or something. Moore said Palin is “resigning as part of damage control” due to a scandal that is “not of a family nature.” …
- Indictments Coming–Palin’s ‘iceberg scandal’ – “Remember that based on the public record, Palin is a wildly unethical public official, guilty at a minimum of numerous instances of abusing her authority as governor. ….possible federal indictments against Palin, concerning an embezzlement scandal related to the building of Palin’s house and the Wasilla Sports Complex built during her tenure as Mayor.
- #sarahpalin – Twitter Search – twayward: RT @sportsguy33 FYI: #SarahPalin is resigning and taking full responsibility for #NBC’s screwed up #Wimbledon coverage this week (more Tweets about Sarah Palin — very fun to read, if occasionally as incoherent as her).
- Sarah Palin Resignation Speech: Part II – Yet another Quote proving Sarah Palin needs mental help: “I don’t want any Alaskan dissuaded from entering politics after seeing this REAL “climate change” that began in August… no, we NEED hardworking, average Americans fighting for what’s right! “
Because real climate change isn’t real enough for her. What a moron.
- The Associated Press: Newspaper columnists give Gov. Palin dubious honor – The National Society of Newspaper Columnists chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as the winner of its annual Sitting Duck Award, a tongue-in-cheek honor that pokes fun at the most ridiculed newsmakers in the United States. Palin beat out Democrat Rod Blagojevich, the ousted former governor of Illinois allegedly caught trying to sell President Barack Obama’s Senate seat.

- G8 fails on climate goals. Again. – G8 countries have so far failed to take sufficient action to protect the world against climate change. The latest G8 Climate Scorecards report shows that Germany, followed by the UK and France, is performing better than the rest of the rich nations’ group.
- Glenn Beck Guest: Osama Bin Laden Should Attack Again – Glenn Beck is walking a very fine line of treason with this one. IF he was a Democrat he’d already be in jail for treason. And their argument makes no sense at all — an attack is needed, to prevent further attacks? That’s like saying someone has to be poisoned so they understand how serious poison is. This is part fo the problem with right-wing extremists, they are unable to form logical thoughts, so they end up crazy — like Glenn Beck, like Michele Bachmann, like most of the right-wing talk show hosts, like the global warming deniers, etc.

- 9/11 FEMA videographer at Ground Zero goes public [Voltaire] – As official videographer for the U.S. government, Kurt Sonnenfeld was detailed to Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, where he spent one month filming 29 tapes: “What I saw at certain moments and in certain places … is very disturbing
- Oil and the Iraq “withdrawal” – By James Cogan 30 Jun 2009 It is fitting that today’s deadline for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq’s cities coincides with a meeting in Baghdad to auction off some of the country’s largest oil fields to companies such as ExxonMobil, Chevron and British Petroleum. It is a reminder of the real motives for the 2003 invasion and in whose interests over one million Iraqis and 4,634 American and other Western troops have been killed. The Iraq war was, and continues to be, an imperialist war waged by the American ruling elite for control of oil and geo-strategic advantage.

Thanks for picking up on that “REAL climate change” comment…I was at the gym listening to her speech, and had to pull out my headphones to tell everyone that Sarah Palin just denied the existence of global warming AGAIN. I was hoping CNN political correspondent Candy Crowley would have included that in her list of “what she heard” Sarah Palin say during the speech, but she didn’t mention it. Glad you picked up on it!
That comment stuck out for me because she acknowledged climate change during the campaign but then contradicted herself and said we don’t know what’s causing it. That’s ignorant, but combined with all her other ignorance it would have fit. But then during one rally she called natural gas clean and even “green” which makes no sense no matter how stupid you are, so it occurred to me that she’s a global warming denier who is also the type of politician who will say anything to get elected. But fundamentally she is an evangelical Christian who talks to “God” but doesn’t believe in science, as though that were a belief system like her religion. She “admits” to climate change when it’s convenient for her and then inserts “code” that she doesn’t believe in it in her speeches. I like to look out for the code because Bush used it so much.
eventhough there are lots of criticisms against Sarah Palin, i still admire her. she also did a lot of things in the area of politics specially in Alaska.
LIKE WHAT? What did she ever do for anything, anyone, or any state? She’s a fraud and a ditzy one who can barely speak coherently. She’s done nothing for anyone but herself. There is nothing to admire — she’s a typical selfish, ignorant Republican.
