In this interview from 1989, Carl Sagan sums up much of what is wrong with America today. It’s interesting how the problems of 1989 are still with us, with similar political complaints too, although now stemming from the “other” party’s leaders.
Super-capitalism is very still at much of the root of our social problems today. He talks about climate change in the parts 1 and 2 of this video interview, and believes it’s clear that man is the cause of it this time around, and that we need to elect better leaders to address the problem. He also talks about time travel. You could do a lot worse than to listen to Carl Sagan on the last day of another decade.
